Clodura.AI’s HubSpot integration uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol to securely link your HubSpot account — no passwords are ever shared. Once connected, you can push contacts and their associated company records directly from Clodura.AI’s People Search into your HubSpot contacts and companies database, all without downloading a CSV. The setup follows three sequential steps: Authorization, Field Mapping, and Activation.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:
  • An active Clodura.AI account with CRM integration access.
  • A HubSpot account. If you don’t have one, you can create a free developer test account at app.hubspot.com/signup-v2/developers. A test account is fully functional for integration testing and includes access to API credentials.
  • Administrator or sufficient permissions in HubSpot to authorize third-party integrations.
The legacy HubSpot API key method has been superseded by the OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. If you previously configured a HubSpot API key in Clodura.AI, you may need to re-authorize using the newer OAuth method described below.

Step 1 — Create a HubSpot Developer Test Account (Optional)

If you want to test the integration before connecting your production HubSpot account, create a free developer test account:

Sign up as a HubSpot developer

Go to the HubSpot developer sign-up page and register using your email address or an existing Google account.

Create a test account

After logging in, you land on the Developer Home dashboard. Click Create a test account.

Name the test account

A pop-up window appears. Enter a name for your test account and click Create. HubSpot provisions the account and adds it under your developer profile.

Access the test account

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner. Select the newly created test account. You are redirected to the HubSpot Sales Dashboard for that account.
Your test account is now ready to use with the integration.

Step 2 — Authorize HubSpot in Clodura.AI

Open CRM Integration settings

In Clodura.AI, go to Settings → CRM Integration. You will see cards for each supported CRM platform.

Click Authorize on the HubSpot card

Locate the HubSpot card. Its status initially shows Disconnected. Click the Authorize button.

Log in to HubSpot

Your browser redirects to a HubSpot page titled “Connecting Clodura.AI to HubSpot.” If you are not already signed in, enter your HubSpot credentials.

Choose your HubSpot account

HubSpot may display multiple accounts (e.g., a production account and one or more test accounts). Select the account you want to integrate with Clodura.AI.

Grant permissions and confirm

Click Choose Account, then review and accept the permission request. HubSpot redirects you back to Clodura.AI upon success.

Confirm the Connected status

Back in Settings → CRM Integration, the HubSpot card now displays a green Connected tag, confirming the OAuth handshake was successful.
If you are already logged into HubSpot in the same browser session, steps 3 and 4 may be combined into a single permissions-grant screen — HubSpot skips the login form and takes you straight to the account-selection page.

Step 3 — Map Fields

Field mapping tells Clodura.AI exactly how to translate each piece of prospect data into the correct HubSpot property. You configure mappings separately for Company Fields and Contact Fields. Click the Mapping button on the HubSpot card to open the Field Mapping modal.

Company Fields

The Company Fields tab maps organization-level data. Configure the following Clodura.AI source fields to their HubSpot destination properties:

Click Next to move to the Contact Fields tab. Map individual person data as follows:

No two Clodura.AI fields may be mapped to the same HubSpot destination field. If you attempt to duplicate a mapping, the save will fail. Custom field mapping (adding new HubSpot properties not listed in the dropdowns) is not supported.
Use the modal controls to navigate and save:
  • Next — move from Company Fields to Contact Fields.
  • Back — return to Company Fields from Contact Fields.
  • Reset — restore all fields in the current tab to their default values.
  • Save — save your mapping and close the modal.
  • Close — discard unsaved changes and close the modal.

Step 4 — Enable the Integration

After saving your field mapping, return to the HubSpot card in Settings → CRM Integration and switch the Enable toggle to ON. This activates data exports from Clodura.AI to HubSpot. You can switch it OFF at any time to temporarily pause the integration without losing your field mapping configuration.

Pushing Contacts and Companies to HubSpot

Once the integration is enabled, you can export prospect data directly from your Clodura.AI search results.

Search for contacts

Navigate to People Search and apply your filters to find the prospects you want to export.

Select contacts

Use the checkboxes in the results grid to select one or more contacts.

Click Export To CRM

Click the Export To CRM button above the results grid.

Configure the export

The Export to HubSpot CRM modal appears, confirming the number of selected contacts. Use the Assign To dropdown to select the HubSpot user who will own the newly created records.

Confirm the export

Click Ok to start the transfer. The selected contact records — along with their associated company data — are pushed to HubSpot.
You can also push companies (and their contacts) from the Companies section:

Search for companies

Navigate to the Companies module and search for target organizations.

Select companies

Use the checkboxes to select the companies you want to export.

Click Add/Update to HubSpot

Click the Add/Update to HubSpot button. A dropdown menu appears with two options:
  • Preferred Contacts — exports only the key contacts for each selected company, filtered by seniority level as configured in your Clodura.AI preferences.
  • All Contacts — exports every contact associated with each selected company.
You can also click the Show Contacts button to preview contacts for selected companies before exporting, or click the person icon on a company row to navigate directly to that company’s contacts page and export individual contacts from there.

Export Confirmation and Verification

After a successful export, Clodura.AI provides two notifications:

In-App Notification

A notification appears within the Clodura.AI interface confirming that the export completed successfully.

Email Notification

An email is sent to your registered address once the contacts are successfully transferred to HubSpot.
To verify the transfer, log in to your HubSpot account and check the Contacts and Companies modules for the newly added records.
Exporting the same contacts to HubSpot multiple times counts as only a single download-credit usage in Clodura.AI. Use the Exclude Exported Contacts filter in People Search to avoid re-exporting records you have already transferred.
