The Clodura Chrome extension brings the power of the Clodura platform directly into your browser. Instead of switching between tabs to look up contact details, you can unlock emails, phone numbers, and company information without ever leaving LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, or any website you’re already visiting. It’s the fastest way to enrich a prospect while you’re actively researching them.

What the Extension Does

When you visit a contact’s LinkedIn profile or any supported page, the extension panel appears in your browser and lets you:
  • Unlock contact details — retrieve verified emails and direct dial numbers for the person you’re viewing.
  • Access company information — see company-level data directly from a company’s LinkedIn page.
  • Enrich website contacts — extract contact data while browsing a prospect’s company website.
  • Sync with Clodura — any contact you unlock through the extension is immediately available in your Clodura account.

Installing the Extension

You can install the Clodura extension in two ways:

From the Chrome Web Store

Open the Chrome Web Store, search for Clodura, and click Add to Chrome. Confirm the permissions prompt to complete installation.

From Within Clodura

Log in to your Clodura account and look for the extension download link in the app’s Settings or Help section. Clicking it takes you directly to the Chrome Web Store listing.
Once installed, the Clodura icon appears in your Chrome toolbar. Make sure you’re logged in to your Clodura account in the same browser session for the extension to function correctly.

Where You Can Use the Extension

The extension is designed to work in four environments:
EnvironmentWhat You Can Do
Individual LinkedIn profileUnlock email address and direct dial for the contact
Company LinkedIn pageView company-level information and find contacts at that organization
LinkedIn Sales NavigatorUnlock contacts and use with applied Sales Navigator filters
Any websiteExtract contact data from a company’s web presence
The extension works on individual LinkedIn profiles, not LinkedIn search results pages. If you apply a filter on standard LinkedIn and view the list of results, the extension won’t activate. However, it does work with filtered results inside LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Unlocking a Contact from LinkedIn

1

Navigate to the LinkedIn profile

Open any LinkedIn contact’s profile page in Chrome while the Clodura extension is installed and you are logged in to Clodura.
2

Open the extension panel

The extension panel will appear automatically on the page, or click the Clodura icon in your Chrome toolbar to open it.
3

Click Unlock

Click the Unlock button in the panel. Clodura will retrieve the contact’s email address and direct dial number (where available).
4

Use the contact details

The revealed information is immediately available in the panel and synced to your Clodura account under My Contacts.
Unlocking a contact you’ve already unlocked before does not consume additional credits — as long as the contact still exists in your My Contacts tab.

Extension Limitations

Keep the following constraints in mind:
  • Individual profiles only (standard LinkedIn) — the extension does not work on LinkedIn filter/search result pages. You must be on an individual’s profile page.
  • LinkedIn language must be set to English — the extension has limited support for non-English LinkedIn interfaces. If your LinkedIn is set to another language, unlock functionality may not work correctly.
  • Sales Navigator filters are supported — unlike standard LinkedIn filters, filtering within Sales Navigator is fully compatible with the extension.

Non-English LinkedIn: How to Fix It

If the extension is not working correctly and your LinkedIn interface is set to a non-English language, change your language to English:
1

Open LinkedIn settings

Go to your LinkedIn account and click on Settings and Privacy.
2

Find language preferences

Navigate to Account Preferences → Language.
3

Change to English

Select English from the language options and save.
4

Refresh and retry

Refresh the LinkedIn contact page you were viewing and try using the extension again.
If the issue persists after switching to English, the contact may not have properly linked their company’s LinkedIn page to their personal profile. In that case, Clodura treats the profile as invalid and won’t allow you to add it. Share the URL with Clodura Support for further investigation.

Troubleshooting: Extension Not Working

If the extension isn’t behaving as expected, work through the following steps:
1

Update Chrome

Make sure your Chrome browser is on the latest version. Go to chrome://settings/help to check for and install updates.
2

Clear cache and cookies

Open Chrome and click the menu in the top-right corner. Go to More Tools → Clear Browsing Data. Set the time range to All time, check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click Clear data. Reload the LinkedIn page and try again.
3

Check cookie settings

Navigate to chrome://settings/cookies in your address bar. Confirm that Allow all cookies is turned on and Block third-party cookies is turned off. Clodura’s extension depends on cookies to authenticate your session.
4

Switch LinkedIn to English

As described in the section above, change your LinkedIn language to English if it is set to anything else.
5

Disable other extensions

Temporarily disable all other Chrome extensions — especially ad blockers, proxy services, or privacy tools — and test whether the Clodura extension works on its own. If it does, re-enable your other extensions one at a time to find the conflicting one.
6

Contact Clodura Support

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, share the specific LinkedIn URLs where the extension is failing with Clodura Support. The team can investigate whether the problem is profile-specific or a broader account issue.

Fixing the “Profile Not Linked to LinkedIn Company” Error

If the extension displays “Profile is not linked to LinkedIn Company” on every profile you visit — even when you can see company information on the page — follow these steps:
1

Clear your browser cache

Clear Chrome’s cache and cookies as described in the troubleshooting steps above.
2

Log out and back in

Log out of your Clodura account in the browser, then log back in and revisit the LinkedIn profile.
3

Update Chrome

Verify you’re using an up-to-date version of Chrome.
4

Reinstall the extension

Remove the Clodura extension from Chrome and reinstall it fresh from the Chrome Web Store.
5

Verify cookies are enabled

In Chrome, go to Settings → Advanced → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Cookies and confirm that cookies are turned on.
6

Escalate to support if needed

If the error persists across multiple profiles, share the LinkedIn URL(s) with Clodura Support. The root cause is often that the contact has not correctly linked their company’s LinkedIn page to their personal profile — something only a human review can confirm.
This error doesn’t necessarily mean your extension is broken. In many cases it means the specific LinkedIn profile you’re viewing has incomplete company linking on their end — not a fault in your Clodura setup.
