Clodura.AI’s Freshsales integration connects to your Freshsales (Freshworks CRM) account using an API Key and Domain URL that you copy from your Freshsales settings. Unlike OAuth-based integrations, this approach requires you to input two credentials manually, giving you direct control over which Freshsales account and workspace Clodura.AI writes to. Once connected, you can export qualified prospects and their associated company data directly from Clodura.AI’s People Search into Freshsales — without downloading a CSV file. Setup follows three sequential steps: API Configuration, Field Mapping, and Activation.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  • An active Clodura.AI account with CRM integration access.
  • A Freshsales account. You can sign up for a free trial at freshworks.com/freshsales-crm/signup. Activate your account by clicking the confirmation link in the verification email Freshworks sends you.
  • Your Freshsales API Key and Domain URL (retrieved in Step 1 below).

Step 1 — Retrieve Your Freshsales Credentials

You need two pieces of information from Freshsales: your API Key and your Domain URL.

Log in to Freshsales

Go to your Freshsales account and sign in. If you are setting up a new account, complete the registration form (contact number, username, password) and click Activate your account to reach the Freshsales dashboard.

Open API Settings

Click your profile picture in the top-right corner. Select Settings, then click the API Settings tab (sometimes labeled CRM API details).

Copy your API Key

Locate the API Key field on the API Settings page. Click Copy (or select and copy the key manually) to capture the value.

Note your Domain URL

Your Domain URL is the unique subdomain assigned to your Freshsales workspace. You can find it in the browser’s address bar when you are logged into Freshsales — it is everything up to and including .com.For example, if your Freshsales URL is:
https://yourcompany-123456789.myfreshworks.com/crm/sales
Your Domain URL is:
yourcompany-123456789.myfreshworks.com
Copy only the domain portion. Do not include https://, trailing slashes, or any path segments like /crm/sales.
Entering an incorrect Domain URL — for example, including https:// or a path after .com — will cause the connection test to fail. Double-check that you have copied only the bare domain (e.g., yourcompany.myfreshworks.com).

Step 2 — Configure the API Connection in Clodura.AI

Open CRM Integration settings

In Clodura.AI, navigate to Settings → CRM Integration. Each supported CRM appears as a card with its current status.

Open the Freshsales Setting modal

Locate the Freshsales card — it initially shows Disconnected status. Click the Setting button. The API Configuration modal appears.

Enter your Domain URL

Paste your Freshsales Domain URL into the Domain URL field.

Enter your API Key

Paste your Freshsales API Key into the API Key field.

Save and test the connection

Click Connect (or Save and Test Connection). Clodura.AI validates both credentials against the Freshsales API. On a successful connection, the modal closes and you receive a success notification. The Freshsales card status updates to Connected.
If the connection test fails, verify that your API Key is current (Freshsales may reset it if you regenerate it) and that your Domain URL does not include https:// or any path after .com.

Step 3 — Map Fields

Field mapping tells Clodura.AI how to translate source data into the correct Freshsales fields. You configure two tabs: Company Fields (Freshsales Accounts/Companies) and Contact Fields (Freshsales Contacts). Click the Mapping button on the Freshsales card to open the Field Mapping modal.

Contact Fields → Freshsales Contacts

Click Next to move to the Contact Fields tab. These fields populate Freshsales Contact records:

Company Name, Name (First + Last), and Email are mandatory destination fields and must be mapped before saving. No two Clodura.AI fields may be mapped to the same Freshsales destination field. Custom field mapping is not supported.
Modal navigation controls:
  • Next — advance from Company Fields to Contact Fields.
  • Back — return to Company Fields.
  • Reset — restore all fields on the current tab to their default values.
  • Save — save the mapping and close the modal.
  • Close — exit without saving.
After a successful save, a pop-up confirms the field mapping is complete. Click Ok to dismiss it.

Step 4 — Enable the Integration

Return to the Freshsales card in Settings → CRM Integration and switch the Enable toggle to ON. This activates the integration and makes Export To CRM available in your Clodura.AI search results. The Freshsales card displays three controls:
  • Status TagConnected (green checkmark) or Disconnected.
  • Setting button — update your API credentials if they change.
  • Mapping button — adjust your field mapping at any time.
  • Enable Toggle — turn data exports on or off without losing your configuration.

Pushing Contacts to Freshsales

Once the integration is enabled, you can export prospects directly from Clodura.AI’s People Search results.

Search for contacts

Run a people search in Clodura.AI and review the results.

Select contacts

Check the boxes next to the contacts you want to export to Freshsales.

Click Export To CRM

Click the Export To CRM button. The Export To Freshsales CRM modal appears, confirming the number of selected contacts and noting that each contact’s associated company will also be added.

Assign an owner

Use the Assign To dropdown to select the Freshsales user who will be set as the owner of the newly created records.

Confirm the export

Click Ok to begin the transfer. Click Close to cancel without exporting.
You can also push companies and their contacts from the Companies module:

Select companies

In the Companies module, check the boxes next to the organizations you want to export.

Click Add/Update to Freshsales

Click Add/Update to Freshsales. Choose from the dropdown:
  • Preferred Contacts — exports only the key decision-maker contacts for each selected company, based on configured seniority preferences.
  • All Contacts — exports every contact associated with each selected company.
Click Show Contacts to preview the contacts linked to selected companies before exporting, or use the person icon on any company row to open that company’s contacts page and export individual records from there.

Export Confirmation and Verification

After the export completes, Clodura.AI notifies you through two channels:

In-App Notification

A notification appears inside Clodura.AI confirming the successful transfer to Freshsales.

Email Notification

An email confirmation is sent to your registered address once the records appear in Freshsales.
Log in to your Freshsales account and check the Contacts and Accounts modules to verify the newly added records display the correct field values from your mapping.
Exporting the same contacts to Freshsales more than once counts as only a single download-credit usage in Clodura.AI. Use the Exclude Exported Contacts filter in Clodura.AI’s advanced search before running additional exports to avoid re-sending records that are already in Freshsales.
