# Phone Numbers: Direct Dials Powered by NumberNexus

> Search Clodura AI's 8 integrated partners for direct dials with NumberNexus. Credits deduct only on success; view full partner reporting for every lookup.

Finding a verified direct dial number has traditionally meant purchasing a separate data subscription, refreshing a list, and hoping the number is still current. Clodura AI's **NumberNexus** feature changes that by letting you query 8 integrated data partners in a single workflow. You can retrieve the first available number automatically, or open a detailed modal to choose which providers to query — with full visibility into estimated credit costs before you commit. Credits are only deducted when a number is actually found, so you never pay for a failed lookup.

## Where NumberNexus Is Available

NumberNexus is currently available in the following areas of the platform:

* **Contact Search** grid
* **Saved Contact** grid
* **Company Profile — Employee tab**
* **Chrome Extension**

<Info>
  For the initial release, other areas (Call History, Cadence, List, Direct Dial Enrichment, and Dashboard Soft Leads) continue to search until a number is found but do not yet offer the full **Search More** experience for querying remaining partners. The full feature is coming to those pages in a future update.

## Finding the First Phone Number

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Contact Search or Saved Contacts">
    Navigate to the **Contact Search** or **Saved Contact** grid and locate the contact whose phone number you need.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Search More Numbers">
    Click the **Search More Numbers** button in the contact's row. The system immediately begins querying integrated data partners one by one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Monitor progress">
    Watch the progress indicator — it shows how many providers have been contacted, for example **"3 of 7 partners requested"**. The search runs in real time and you can see it advance with each partner query.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Receive the first result">
    As soon as any partner returns a valid phone number, the system:

    * Displays the number to you immediately.
    * Automatically stops querying remaining providers.
    * Updates the **Search More Numbers** button to show the retrieved number alongside a **Search More** label.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Credits are only deducted when a number is successfully retrieved from a partner. If a partner does not return a result, no credit is consumed for that partner's query.
</Note>

## Searching More Numbers from Additional Providers

If you want to verify the number you received, collect alternatives, or check providers that were not yet queried, use the **Search More** feature.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Click Search More">
    Once a number has been displayed, click the **Search More** label on the button. A modal window opens with a full overview of the search session.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the modal">
    The modal shows you:

    * **Partners Already Requested** — providers that have already been contacted in this session.
    * **Remaining Partners** — providers that have not yet been queried.
    * **Estimated Max Credit Consumption** — the approximate credit cost if you were to search all remaining partners.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose how to search">
    You have two options inside the modal:

    * **Search All** — automatically queries all remaining partners in sequence.
    * **Individual Search Partner buttons** — query a specific uncontacted partner by clicking the button next to its name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Monitor the Search All process">
    If you click **Search All**, the modal shows real-time progress as each remaining partner is contacted. Once every partner has been attempted, the **Search All** button is disabled to prevent duplicate queries.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  If your partner dial credits run out while a **Search All** is underway, the search stops and you see the message: **"Your partner dial credits are exhausted. Buy credits."** The same message appears immediately if you attempt to start a search without enough credits.
</Warning>

## Credit Management

| Scenario                           | What Happens                                            |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Partner finds a number | Credits are deducted for that partner only |
| Partner does not find a number | No credits deducted |
| Credits exhausted mid-search | Search stops; you are prompted to buy credits |
| Insufficient credits before search | System blocks the search and prompts you to buy credits |

<Tip>
  Check the **Estimated Max Credit Consumption** in the Search More modal before clicking **Search All**. This tells you the worst-case credit spend if every remaining partner is queried. You can then decide whether to search all partners or cherry-pick specific ones.
</Tip>

## Tracking Progress If You Navigate Away

If you close the **Search More** modal or navigate to another page while a search is still running in the background, the **Search More Numbers** button on the main grid continues to show the ongoing status — for example, a loading spinner or a progress indicator. You can return to the modal at any time to check on it.

## Viewing Reports

Clodura AI keeps a complete record of every phone number search session:

* **Usage Report** — access a comprehensive breakdown of your partner dial credit consumption across all searches.
* **Partner Tracking** — the system records exactly which partners were queried for each contact's phone number lookup.
* **Provider Overview** — the total number of available service providers is visible within the Search More modal, giving you a complete picture of the partner network.

To access the usage report, navigate to the reporting section of your account dashboard.
